This collection reflects the artist’s seven year stay in Arizona the last five years of which were spent in Tucson. The tonal colors and unique shapes of the landscape all exuding an aura of mystery were captivating and many of the landscapes were inspired by polished stones quarried from southwestern mines. The inspirational stone used in some of these paintings is shown in the larger view of the work.
